Frame rate - (Framers per Second) - This is the rate at which an imaging devices produces consecutive images called frames. This term can apply to Film and video cameras , computer graphics and stop motion capture systems.Persistence of Vision- This is the phenomenon of the eye by which an afterimage is thought to persist for roughly one twenty-fifth of a second on the retina. This is a myth.
What is stop-motion animation 'stop frame ' ?
This is an animation technique to make a physically manipulated object appear to move on its own. This technique used 24 images per second of footage. Which means per minute you need to have a lot of images. The problem with this technique is that each shot needs to be identical- from the aspect of lighting and background the only difference being the movement from the model itself.

What is the target audience for Stop Motion ?
In recent years many would argue that the primary audeince for Stop Motion animation would be a younger audience children, and early teens. With the likes of chicken run being a major hit and now a rergular feature on our tv screens and not forgetting the already mentions , famous Wallace and Grommit. However much Stop Motion contains, 'silly' humour which children may relate to. The elder genrations find these programmes just as enticing and respect the time and effort gone into making them, and maybe even laughing at some of the side jokes aimed at them, and the children. Here are some facts by Elliot Steel ( http://elliottmedia.wordpress.com/2009/10/01/target-audience-stop-motion/
"" To appeal to a community is hard, seen as this is a large and contrasted group of people according to internet statistic (http://www.quantcast.com/youtube.com) male to female ratio is 50:50. The highest percentage age gap is 18-34 which is 35% of you-tubes viewers, followed by 13-17 years of age. This is is a small surprise for me as i would have guessed that the majority of user would have aged between 15 and 22, but obviously the age gaps used by that site are different. I think a key thing to remember when appealing to the You-tube community is ‘Niche’, if you can find that small gap in an area of entertainment or an idea that is original then you can gain your audience. I do feel our idea has this potential but i am fully aware that it wont be simple or easy and we are going to have to make it look as professional as possible.""
