In this link it says to make a good advert you need to make the brand heroic to attract attention. In the plan for our advert we are going to aim to make the frogger itself be the heroic character, or at least attempt to make the frog ( the green skittle ) seem powerful..

What i like about the skittles website is that its very colourful and i feel that is one of our aims to make it appear in a similar format.
We chose this idea as we believe its catch with the selection of music we plan to use such as the frogger theme tune, it will also be colourful a trait I think is vital in an advert. Working to our advantage as we our using skittles which are made up of a vast amount of colours.
Target Audience: The key target audience that we are looking into is children from the age of 5 - 15 because we feel the theme of confectionery and skittles would mostly appeal to that age range. The channel Nickelodeon would be perfect to show our advert on because their programmes are aimed at children in our age range. I think we can produce something more entertaining and creative by aiming our product at children because they have a larger imagination and tolerance than an adult audience. Lots of different things can be done by using jelly beans because they are easy to move about and also the colours may appeal to the young target audience.
As i mentioned previously we are going to mainly target our advert at nickedlodeon and other channels with a similar ethic. Nickelodeon launched on the 1st December 197. It was previously known as Pinwheel which was in fact formed in 1977. The channel has always been specialised in children's programming.
Nickelodeon has 171 million subscribers which enables us to get our product and brand across to many people of our target age group which is perfect its also a very consistent brand which we would like to be associated with. We are aware that they are somewhat against junk food but the way we are going to structure out advert is not going to make the food the main product. We are more trying to make something unique and bring the skittles to life. Using them to form objects such as cars. Nikelodeon also has a very strong website bringing a wide range of age groups, also the possibility of adults so we can also broadcast our advert onto this
This source is very useful. Telling us some of the history behind the channel and also what they believe in and what they strive to be.
We plan to make out advert using bright colours to the same effect that tic tac did.
We plan to make out advert using bright colours to the same effect that tic tac did.
CITV
( short for Children's ITV or Children's Independent Television)
This is a British channel brought to us by ITV. It airs daily from 6am- 6pm. Attracting 200 hundred thousand viewers everyday. It also has a slot on the ITV channel itself on weekends- which we will target for our advert, because at this time on the weekends parents may also be watching it with the children so we can take advantage of this by broadcasting it then.
SKITTLES
Our original plan was to use Haribo's to form different life objects such as , using the Haribo bears to form one big bear. After some discussion we have decided to change to using skittles. Mainly because of practical reasons. We plan to take advantage of the variety of different colours you find in a skittle packet to catch the audiences attention.
Skittles are very popular with children so we can continue our advertising with Nickelodeon and CiTV

"The Cadbury commercial featuring a drum-playing gorilla which attracted instant cult status and a number of online imitations has been named the year's favourite TV advert in a poll."
I believe this advert has become so successful and memorable amongst virtually everyone is mainly because of the unique nature of this out of this world advert.. I think the beat is catchy, the song is well known and hit number 1 after the advert was released but most importantly, who expects to turn on there TV to see a gorilla playing the drums with such conviction and determination in his eyes.
Doing some research on the top 10 adverts of the decade you can see, similarities occurring. With comedy being an over-riding common feature. I think talking animals, or animals with human features is another. Unfortunately we would not be able to replicate this well enough to pull of. Another feature I've spotted is the use of colour. Mainly by SONY who appear twice in the top 20 with brilliant use of colour. Something we will try and use in our advert to a similar level of detail. Its proven now the audience have some affection to it.
